Young children visit the firehouse and Captain Eric takes them through it showing the various types of “fuels” that should be kept away from heat, such as in the kitchen, near heaters and fireplaces, lamps, cords, high wattage bulbs, smoking and candles, which is great because the kids learn easy prevention steps that they can easily understand and help to control. |

Captain Eric also shows the kids how to survive a fire at home, by being a part of a fire safe team, which is great because they could save not only their own lives, but possibly save a firefighter’s life as well.
