This manual includes information on educating young children, tips for effective presentations, learning activities for each fire safety lesson, reproducible masters and take-home activities for family involvement. There are a multitude of suggested activities and worksheets that can be completed by the children. The activities correlate with the Stretch the Ladder Truck videos – Get Low and Go!, Stop, Drop and Roll and Matches and Lighters are For Grown-Ups. These activities are used to reinforce the ideas that were already covered in the lessons presented in the videos and in the activity books. There is also a reproducible letter used to explain the fire prevention program to parents and encourage their participation.
