The Senior Citizen’s Fire Safety Package contains everything needed to protect the elderly, sick and disabled from the harms that fire can cause.

The Senior Citizens' Fire Safety Package is a comprehensive package containing pertinent information for instructing seniors, the disabled and their caregivers on fire safety, prevention and evacuation, as well as home safety precautions for avoiding life-threatening falls.

The video depicts many instances that could occur and gives ways to avoid and survive each scenario. Fire safety tips such as keeping a bell or whistle by your bed, making sure that eye glasses, walkers or other aid materials are in reach so that a safe escape can be made. These safety tips along with information for the health care provider on how to assist others with a safe exit are all explained in the video.

The package also contains 4 pamphlets that further explain how to use 9-1-1 properly, how to check and maintain working smoke detectors, ways of practicing a safe escape from a burning house or building and how to safely protect yourself from falls or injury. Senior Citizens and the disabled can also receive an identification card that lists all helpful information for the EMT or other rescue professional so that injuries, diseases or other illnesses can be identified and the proper care can be administered.
